The main entrance will still be accessible, and the elevator will remain in use to reach the 2nd and 3rd floors. Patrons needing an accessible method to reach the basement must utilize the tunnel connecting Thode and A.N. Bourns Science Building (ABB).

To access the Thode basement, exit Thode through the front doors and walk directly across the courtyard to ABB. Enter through the ABB doors and continue straight ahead to the double doors. Just inside, you will find an elevator on your right. Take the elevator down one floor to the basement.When you exit the elevator in the basement, turn left and continue until you reach a fork in the hallway. At the fork, keep right and walk to the end of the hall, where the tunnel begins. Turn left into the tunnel. Proceed through two sets of doors, and you will arrive in the basement of Thode Library. The washrooms will be on your left, the Thode Makerspace on your right, and the prayer space directly ahead.
