Keep@Downsview is a collaborative project between McMaster, University of Ottawa, Queen's University, University of Toronto, Western University, and Memorial University, designed to facilitate the preservation of and continued access to low demand print materials.

Mills Memorial Library holds thousands of journals, many of which are rarely consulted by students, faculty, or staff. The Keep@Downsview project ensures that between the participating institutions, a copy of each journal remains available, while allowing libraries to weed duplicates to make room for new materials. The ability to access journals owned by the other libraries also expands and enhances the resources available for each institution.

Items are held at a storage facility on the University of Toronto's Downsview campus, and can be requested by placing a hold through the library catalogue.

More information about Keep@Downsview can be found here. If you have additional questions, please email Wade Wyckoff, Associate University Librarian, Distinctive, Legacy, and Digital Heritage Collections or Casey Hoeve, Associate University Librarian, Content, Access and Open Licensing.
