What can be done if the library doesn't own a book or journal I need? Can I borrow from other libraries?

If McMaster Libraries does not have access to a resource, you can take advantage of tools like RACER to search library collections from universities across Ontario, Canada, and beyond.

To find more information about registering and using RACER, please visit Borrow from Other Libraries / Interlibrary Loan.

Additionally, you are welcome to Recommend a book, film, or journal for purchase. Library staff will follow up with you about your request. Since the Library's print collection is temporarily unavailable due to the Covid-19 closure, an effort will be made to purchase electronic versions where possible.
